Meet the Staff!

 Tim Keegan, Director of Tennis

From the time he was eight years old, Tim Keegan knew he wanted to play tennis. And play he did. He became a USTA Mid-Atlantic Mens’ Champion and the #1 player at George Mason University. After getting his degree and working as an electrical engineer for a couple of years, he realized he wanted to make tennis his profession. Keegan coached the Kuwaiti Davis Cup tennis team, then worked for the USTA in the player development program. The court called to him, however, and he moved on to be a club pro, and later, the Director of Tennis at the Manassas Racquet Club.

In 1997, Keegan became the Director of Tennis at the Ritter Park Tennis Center. From the first, his goals have been to grow tennis at all levels, for all ages. Though he believes he is succeeding, he knows that there are still a lot of people out there yet to be introduced to the joy of tennis.

  Matt Kleber, Head Pro
loves all aspects of tennis.  He was the Southeast Region Division llll Champion in 1991 and the Tournament of Champions winner in 2004.  For 12 years at Paul Kronk Tennis, he taught group lessons and clinics, coached and advised youth and adult tournament play.   After that, he taught at Saddlebrook Tennis Academy in Florida.  He is passionate about tennis and inspires others to the same.

Candis Stout, event coordinator, teaching pro

Candis came to tennis as an adult, playing at St. Cloud Commons courts during her college days at Marshall University.  After school, she lived in Arizona and Wyoming, before coming back to W. Va., when she began playing league tennis.  A knee injury sidelined her for several years.  However, when her son began taking tennis lessons, she took up tennis again.
Playing USTA league tennis brought her many friends and new experiences as well as giving her the opportunity to improve her game.
In 2003, she was offered the job of event coordinator, which she says is the best job she's had.
In 2005, Candis became a certified tennis instructor with the United States Professional Tennis Registery (USPTR), and has added teaching to her job description.
"I love my job and I love teaching the 'newbies' - the beginners.  Tennis truly is a sport for a lifetime, and I like introducing people to it."

Rachel Randall, teaching pro

Rachel began her tennis career at Ritter Park, attending Daycamp and taking lessons.  From there, she played on high school and college tennis teams.  In the summer, she would teach daycamp and for the past three years, she has been the head instructor of Daycamp.
